La Jolla Cove
La Jolla Cove is located near downtown La Jolla, an upscale San Diego community known for its fine dining and high end shopping. Easily one of the most beautiful beaches in California, it is also one of the most photographed.
This is the place to go snorkeling, or scuba diving. Located within the boundaries of the San Diego La Jolla Underwater Park Ecological Reserve, marine life is abundant.

You can enjoy sunbathing, picnicking, and hiking while enjoying the clear waters and spectacular scenery. The scenery makes this cove one of the most romantic beaches in San Diego. My favorite place for a beach sunset!
It's difficult to find a park on the street, but there are a number of paid parking lots in the area. Scripps Park is located just above the cove and has a nice grassy area for a picnic or lawn games.
Directions from San Diego: Take Interstate 5 North. Exit at La Jolla Parkway. This road will become Torrey Pines Rd. Turn right onto Prospect Place. Make a right onto Coast Blvd. If you are lucky, you might find parking on the street, but there are a number of parking garages in the area as well. The address for the cove is 1100 Coast Blvd., La Jolla, CA.
