La Jolla Shores Beach

La Jolla Shores offers gentle waves and almost one mile of sandy beach. Kellogg Park is located next to the beach. This park has a large grassy area and a children's playground. This combination of beach and park makes this a great destination for young families.

This beach has a picturesque setting near La Jolla Cove. The beach is lined with palm trees. The small waves make this a popular beach for novice surfers and scuba divers. Surfing and swimming areas are separated. You will often see beginning scuba classes being conducted at this popular beach.

Directions :
From San Diego go north on I-5 and exit at La Jolla Parkway. Turn right at La Jolla Shores Drive. Turn left at Avenida de la Playa. Turn right on Camino del Oro. There is a large parking lot, but parking can still be a problem on summer weekends.
