Marine Street Beach is located in La Jolla at the base of Marine Street. It's a scenic beach with stunning scenery. The large waves that crash on the shoreline make it a popular beach with body surfers and boogie boarders.
I wouldn't recommend this beach for families because of the lack of restrooms. The rough waters makes it unsafe for children. This is one of the less crowded San Diego beaches. It's a great beach for watching the sunset or enjoying a secluded stroll on the beach.
You'll need to park on the street, which might be a problem on a busy summer weekend. Arrive early. This wide, sandy beach is great or strolling or jogging.
Life guards are stationed at this beach during the summer and on busy Spring and Fall weekends. After parking on the street, walk down a short flight of stairs to the beach.
