Pacific Beach

Pacific Beach is located just north of Mission Beach. This is the happening beach in San Diego. Experience the feel of a beach community with its ecletic combination of tourists, surfers, students, and families. Enjoy the mixture of casual food stands, surf shops, unique boutiques, and casual as well as fine dining.

A cement boardwalk borders the entire length of the beach. Walkers, joggers, bicyclists, and roller bladers travel up and down this boardwalk enjoy the coastal scenery.

There are separate areas for surfing and swimming. Fire rings are provided for beach bonfires. Bring supplies to roast marshmallows as the sun sets! Beach volleyball is another popular sport on this beach.

Parking is on the street. It can be difficult to find a park; especially during the summer months. A word of caution: do not park in lots belonging to local businesses that you are not patronizing or you will be towed.

Directions:
From Interstate 5 exit at Grand Avenue and go west to the beach.
