Halloween Ball at the Prado

This adult party(Age 21+) begins in the elegant El Prado in Balboa Park at 9 PM on October 31. Dance to DJ music in the beautiful surroundings. Prizes for best costumes. Purchase tickets online for $45.

Halloween Costume Cruise - San Diego Harbor Excursions

Boarding is at 9 PM on October 31, 2009. Cruise from 9:30 PM - 1 AM. Must be 21 or over. $25 includes the three hour cruise, a boarding cocktail, and dancing. Appetizers and drinks will be available for purchase.

The Haunted Hotel

The Haunted Hotel is a walk through horror house with scary special effects. The price is $14.99. Recommended for age 10 and up.

Nightmare on Normal Street
This annual event in Hillcest runs 6:00pm to 10:00pm on Normal Street between Lincoln and Blaine on Halloween evening. Must be 21 or older (picture ID required). The cost is $5 and includes music and a costume contest with a $1000 prize.

Monster Bash
Address: Main Gate at 7th and Market in Gaslamp Quarter
Open 6 PM-Midnight, October 31,2009
This block party in downtown San Diego features three stages, 10 DJs, and 3 bands. Costume contest with $3000 cash prizes. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 the day of the event.

Haunted Trail of Balboa Park

Enjoy a winding trail of scary fun in Balboa Park. The cost is $15.

Scream Zone

Haunted Hayride, House of Horrors, and The Chamber (a winding tunnel of terror. The price for all three attractions is $27.99. Parking is free in the Scream Zone parking lot which you enter through the Solana Gate off Via de la Valle between Jimmy Durante Boulevard and the Coast Highway.
