Puzzle-like Fit

by Ashley
(Dallas, TX)

My husband came up with the most elaborate and creative way to propose! We both have a lot of family and friends who live out of our state, so he contacted a bunch of of them who live in a variety of different states in the U.S.

He sent them all one puzzle piece and a small love note. He instructed them to send that puzzle piece and love note back to me in a new envelope, and gave them all a date when they should send their piece.

After a few weeks, I had all of the puzzle pieces besides one. The puzzle was a customized one made with a picture of him on it, holding up something. But the last piece that I was missing was the part with what he was holding.

We both put the puzzle together, and I turned to him and asked where the last piece was. He pulled it out of his pocket. The thing he was holding in the picture was a big sign that read, "Will you marry me?"

I put it in the puzzle and then turned to him, only to find him on his knees holding my engagement ring! He asked me again, because I was too speechless to talk, and of course I said yes!
