Treat you and the person you love to a romantic Temecula winery tour. Approximately an hour’s drive north to Temecula, you will find an exciting wine region. With more than 20 Southern California wineries to choose from, there are more wineries than you will have time to visit. The wineries range from small, family owned wineries to large modern facilities. Most do charge $3-10 for wine tasting. However, they will usually apply the fees to any wine purchased and a logo glass is often included in the price.All of the wineries are located off of Highway 15 on or just off the Rancho California exit. Most wineries have free wine tasting maps for you to pick up in their tasting rooms to help in navigating your Temecula wine tour. Many of the wineries have lavish grounds, colorful landscaping, and picnic facilities. Pack your lunch for a romantic picnic or you can even pick up deli supplies at one of the wineries on your Temecula wine tasting trip. 
The first winery you come to on the right is Thornton Winery. This is one of the best wineries. It’s fun tasting wine here. You sit at a table and order a flight of wines to sample while enjoying the sounds of a fountain and the lovely grounds. They’re known for their Champagne but have other varietals as well. Thornton also has a fabulous restaurant serving lunch or dinner for you Temecula winery tour called Café Champagne.

Churon Winery is housed in a lovely French-style chateau and produces premium wines. If you like Port, don’t miss the Port at Mount Palomar Winery. Marurice Car’rie Winery is a beautiful place to visit on your Temecula winery tour with many varietals to sample and the wine tasting is complimentary. There's lovely grounds and romantic places to sit and enjoys each other's company at this Temecula winery. 
Ponte Winery is another Southern California winery with great wines. Dine outdoors at their wonderful restaurant, the Smokehouse Café. 
If you have the chance to indulge yourself, South Coast Winery and Resort is a place that everyone needs to stay at least once. These are the dream accommodations for your Temecula Winery Tour. The rooms are villas, with no walls connecting to other villas. The rooms are luxurious with every amenity you can think of. You even have a private patio overlooking the vineyards or citrus groves. There's a complimentary bottle of wine waiting for you when you check in. The jacuzzi tub is big enough for two and the beautifully appointed villa is an ideal setting for romance. South Coast also has the best gift shop in Temecula and great wines to sample as well.
