The search was on for the top wedding sites in San Diego soon after Corrie and I became engaged. We visited every wedding venue and reception site in the area. We are happy to share with you our top choices for wedding locations and receptions. San Diego has many wonderful venues for weddings, but these are our favorites. Japanese Friendship GardenAddress: 2125 Park Blvd., San Diego, CA 92101 Telephone: (619) 232-2721 Capacity: 200 The lush Oriental gardens are beautiful with koi pond, romantic pathways, and waterfall. 
The Prado at Balboa ParkAddress: 1549 E. El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101 Telephone: (619) 557-9441 Capacity: 300 This is a romantic setting with multilevel terraces, historic fountains, reflecting pool, wishing well, and beautiful gardens. The Prado is a popular San Diego wedding venue. Coronado
Coronado Community CenterAddress: 1845 Strand Way, San Diego, CA 92118 Telephone: (619) 522-2457 Capactiy: 250 This new community center overlooks Glorietta Bay. You can get married at a nearby park or on the lawn outside the center. The reception would be indoors. 
Hotel Del CoronadoAddress: 1500 Orange Avenue, Coronado, CA 92118 Telephone: (619) 522-8070 Capacity: 500 This historic hotel has elegant beachside facilities for indoor or outdoor weddings. You can choose between a beautiful ballroom, outdoor garden, or have your wedding right on the beach. This is one of San Diego's most popular (and expensive) wedding sites. Del Mar
Seagrove ParkLocation: West end of 15th Street at Coast Blvd. Address: City of Del Mar, 1050 Camino del Mar, Del Mar, CA 92014 Telephone: (858) 755-1524 Capacity: 199 This is a beautiful park located on a cliff overlook the ocean. The views are dramatic. 
Powerhouse Community CenterAddress: 1658 Coast Blvd., Del Mar, CA 92014 Telephone: (858) 755-1524 Capacity: 160 This oceanfront location has both indoor and outdoor facilities. Gorgeous scenery. 
L’Auberge Del MarAddress: 1540 Camino Del Mar, Del Mar, CA 92014 Telephone: (858) 259-1515 Capacity: 400 This is a romantic location with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Fallbrook
Los WillowsAddress: 530 Stewart Canyon Rd., Fallbrook, CA 92028 Telephone: (888) 731-9400 Capacity: 250 Enjoy 44 private acres of gorgeous grounds complete with large willow trees, expansive lawns, and a lake. This is one of the wedding sites that specialize in weddings. Many services are included in the wedding package. 
The Grand Tradition – Beverly MansionAddress: 1602 S. Mission Rd., Fallbrook, CA 92028 Telephone: (760) 728-6466 Capacity: 300 Picturesque location with 30 acres of lavishly landscaped grounds including a pond and a horsedrawn carriage. The elegant Crystal Ballroom would make a perfect setting for a fairytale wedding reception. This is another of the wedding sites that include many of the services in the wedding package. La Jolla

Museum of Contemporary ArtAddress: 700 Prospect St., La Jolla, CA 92037 Telephone: (858) 454-3541 Capacity: 500 This museum has spectacular ocean views. They have facilities for both indoor and outdoor weddings. 
Wedding Bowl Mission Bay

Reception choices include two beautiful banquet rooms with views overlooking Mission Bay or two different sternwheelers, Bahia Belle and William D. Evans. You and your guests can cruise the Bay as you celebrate the wedding.

Have an outdoor ceremony surrounded by lush landscaping, green hills, and views of Mission Bay and the Pacific Ocean in the distance. Point Loma
Admiral Kidd ClubAddress: 33050 Acoustic Ave., Su. 200, San Diego, CA 92136 Telephone: (619) 524-6287 Capacity: 400 Admiral Kidd Club is situated along the banks of the Pacific Ocean. Have an outdoor ceremony overlooking the ocean with a fabulous view of the ocean and the San Diego skyline. There is a choice of two indoor ballrooms for the reception. Yes, this is a picture of Corrie and I getting married in June 2008! The setting was gorgeous. We could see the view of the San Diego skyline as we danced. Guests lingered on the large balcony enjoying the scenery. 
Thursday ClubAddress: 1224 Santa Barbara Street, San Diego, CA 92107 Telephone: (619) 224-5264 Capacity: Garden 100; Clubhouse 175 seated, 350 nonseated Thursday Club is located above Sunset Cliffs with a view of the ocean. You can have an outdoor ceremony surrounded by gorgeous gardens. There's a lovely clubhouse complete with stage, bride's room, kitchen, and sitting area. This is a beautiful outdoor Wedding site!
